IMPACTO PROJECT is excited to partner up with the Latino & Latin American Studies Department at the University of Louisville, KY http://louisville.edu/latinamericanstudies for the next Impacto Project photography and video-making program to take place June 2009 in the island of Bocas del Toro, Panama. Have you been a good boy or girl this year and decided to buy yourself a new camera for the holidays? Buying a new camera for a loved one? Wondering what to do with the old cameras? Donate them to the Impacto Project! During the months of December and January, we will be accepting used digital cameras to be used by indigenous youths in Panama as part of our pilot program. Thank you to all of our board members, performers, and attendees who generously contributed to our first fundraising event, The Impacto Party! It was a beautiful, warm California night filled with music, art and dancing as people came together to celebrate the birth of The Impacto Project and contribute to its launching.
